Se ven mal (cumpliendo su prop\u00f3sito) y suenan horriblemente bien. <strong>The Wytches<\/strong> es una amalgama de influencias que nos remonta inmediatamente al garage sesentero y al lado m\u00e1s inmundo de la psicodelia, el surf y el horror-punk. Si son de los que buscan referencias inmediatas, suenan a los <strong>Artic Monkeys<\/strong> en \u00e1cidos pero con capas ensordecedoras de los g\u00e9neros antes mencionados. Algo mucho m\u00e1s interesante.<\/p>\n<p>Este sonido tan grasiento y ruidoso en <strong>The Wytches<\/strong>, es llevado a cabo con sapiencia principalmente gracias a <strong>Kristian Bell<\/strong>, vocalista, guitarrista y l\u00edder de este nauseabundo tr\u00edo ingl\u00e9s. Con una voz que podr\u00eda ser la amalgama entre <strong>Alex Turner, Lux Interior, Cobain <\/strong>y por momentos hasta<strong> Daniel Johnston<\/strong>, y una guitarra atascada con capas de distorsi\u00f3n y reverberaciones, <strong>The Wytches<\/strong> definitivamente no es tu bandita indie complaciente.<\/p>\n<p>Escucha \u201cRobe For Juda\u201d, uno de sus temas m\u00e1s violentos; \u201cBeehive Queen\u201d con un riff que podr\u00eda ser el soundtrack de una espagueti western; Digsaw\u201d, psicodelia pura pero con gritos que te remontan al lado m\u00e1s transgresor Kurt Cobain; \u201cTricks and Dance\u201d, lleno de capas lo-fi y gritos desquiciantes o \u201cRiding On Horseback in the Desert\u201d donde <strong>Bell<\/strong> coquetea con un solo de guitarra que te recordara a <strong>The Stooges.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UqvP4k-t1Vw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DFjkRH4rncw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wduQ9vo5PRU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Puedes pensar en <strong>The Sonics, The Kingsmen, The Jay-Jays, <\/strong>el horror-punk de<strong> The Cramps, The Cynics<\/strong> o una lista interminable de bandas que son referencias obligadas en el g\u00e9nero pero lo que sorprende con <strong>The Wytches<\/strong>, es que no es una banda m\u00e1s de adolescentes brit\u00e1nicos que quieren sonar o copiar el sonido de sus antecesores. Claramente las influencias est\u00e1n ah\u00ed pero tienen un sonido original. Son diferentes, est\u00e1n enojados y no les importa encajar en escenitas.<\/p>\n<p>Buenas noticias ya que <em>Heavenly Records<\/em>, sello discogr\u00e1fico que incluye en sus filas a <strong>Mark Lanegan, Temples <\/strong>o Los<strong> Doves<\/strong>, ha firmado a<strong> The Wytches<\/strong> en el Reino Unido. Por el momento cuentan con un EP, un sencillo con lados B y un par de temas adicionales, incluido un cover a <strong>Ace Of Base<\/strong> que sorprendentemente suena bien.<\/p>\n<p>Parece que bandas como <strong>Temples, Thee Oh Sees <\/strong>o<strong> The Growlers<\/strong> tienen un nuevo miembro a bordo pero con un sonido a\u00fan m\u00e1s sucio y ruidoso para revivir uno de los periodos m\u00e1s interesantes en la inmunda e impura carrera del rock n\u00b4roll.<\/p>\n<p>Una banda digna de revisar.
