Con una infinidad de colaboraciones y una vasta discograf\u00eda de g\u00e9nero inclasificable, la carrera de Oren Ambarchi<\/b> claramente requiere de atenci\u00f3n y paciencia.<\/p>\n

Un m\u00fasico que dada la complejidad de su obra, los m\u00e1s conservadores o menos aventurados podr\u00edan encasillarlo r\u00e1pidamente de pretencioso. Pero lo cierto con Oren Ambarchi<\/b> es que, a pesar de que no se convertir\u00e1 en tu m\u00fasico favorito, su capacidad de perturbarte es notable.<\/p>\n

En 1998 Oren Ambarchi<\/b>, motivado por m\u00fasicos tan complejos como John Zorn<\/b>, decidi\u00f3 elevar su horizonte creativo y explorar los paisajes evocadores que las seis cuerdas pueden ofrecer cuando se mezclan con una infinidad de instrumentos y de vertientes experimentales. De ah\u00ed en adelante, el avant-garde, el ruido, la distorsi\u00f3n, las percusiones, los sonidos poco convencionales, la improvisaci\u00f3n y la electr\u00f3nica minimalista, han marcado la pauta de este engorroso artista.<\/p>\n

El aspecto visual de sus portadas, es otro tema en el que Oren Ambarchi <\/b>ha puesto esmero y que sirve de acompa\u00f1ante para evocar un tiempo y un espacio dentro de su experimentaci\u00f3n sonora. Portadas como las de Insulation (2000), Suspension (2001), Grapes From The Estate (2004) <\/i>o The Mortimer Trap (2012)<\/i>, sirven de \u00a0puente entre las im\u00e1genes y la conexi\u00f3n que su m\u00fasica genera.<\/p>\n

Su \u00faltima entrega llamada Amulet, <\/i>son grabaciones de sus presentaciones en vivo realizadas precariamente con un iPhone pero editadas meticulosamente por el m\u00fasico. \u00danicamente dos tracks con casi 15 minutos de duraci\u00f3n cada uno y nombrados perezosamente \u201cI\u201d y \u201cII\u201d es lo que ofrece la \u00faltima entrega de Oren Ambarchi.<\/b><\/p>\n

Aunado a esto, el \u00fanico formato f\u00edsico original en el que se puede encontrar esta nueva entrega es en cassette. Esto a cargo de los eternos defensores de extinto formato, el sello, Tape Worms.<\/p>\n

En Amulet<\/i> encontrar\u00e1n una colecci\u00f3n de ruidos escalofriantes que, con su debida proporci\u00f3n y disparidad en g\u00e9neros, son dignos de la brillante obra de Krzysztof\u00a0Penderecki<\/b>. Aqu\u00ed, las percusiones y las atm\u00f3sferas creadas por Oren Ambarchi<\/b> parecen ser sacadas del soundtrack de una pel\u00edcula de horror o una cinta de David Lynch<\/b>.<\/p>\n

Su cr\u00e9dito est\u00e1 en evocar im\u00e1genes que reflejan desesperanza, desesperaci\u00f3n y horror. Con texturas angustiantes y ciertamente perturbadoras; aplausos que aparecen s\u00fabitamente; un constante ruido est\u00e1tico y percusiones que parecen ser instrumentos de tortura, Amulet <\/i>cumple con su \u00fanico prop\u00f3sito de inquietar la raz\u00f3n de quien lo escucha.<\/p>\n
